Collection Index

This is a metadata catalog created by MCP, the metadata collection parser. The content for this index comes from various files saved with your geographic data. The various files are compiled by a program called catalog.pl, and turned into various summary files; all of these are then indexed a bunch of different ways and the summaries and the indes files are all turned into a hypertext database that can be read with your browser.

This explanation text is contained in a file called readme.htm in the root directory of the geo-data collection.
