Teaching
Open Source Courses in GIS
I've taught GIS for the past couple of decades. I've developed a lot of material over 20 years of teaching in the Harvard Graduate School of Design departments of Urban Planning and Design and Landscape Architecture. I've contined to refine these over the past several years at Tufts and the Boston Architecturwal College. Teachers are welcome to use my syllabi and link to course materials. I continue to update these but it is rare that I make changes that would have an impact on a course.
Here are recent copies of my syllabi.
- A GIS Course for Policy Analysis (15 Weeks)
- Data Wrangling and Cartography (8 Weeks)
- GIS Applications for Planning and Design (8 Weeks)
I also have problem sets and exercises for these courses that I might share. If you are interested, drop me an email at paulbcote at gmail dot com .
